Have you noticed that lately the words Microsoft and USA could be used interchangeably? “_______ is still number one, but its much smaller competitors are catching up quickly.” “_______ needs to innovate more.” “In the past, _______ was ok, but its recent products just aren’t very good.” “Bill Gates is so great, I can’t believe he used to be associated with _______.”
What do we have to do to be the Coke of countries? “Despite contributing to millions of early deaths, _______ has been number 1 for a century and continues to be the most popular choice.” Better yet would be McDonalds, “_______ was chosen a billion more times in 2007 than in 2006.”
I guess in the mean time we’re stuck with “The European Union loves taking _______ down a peg or two.”

very nice post!
Fair enough. But we still produced companies like Apple and Google. Nothing of the equivalent yet from India, China, or EU.
All we have to do is channel these Harvard grads into different industries that we still have a comparative advantage in.
Ah, oh… Well, the EU produced, you know, the World Wide Web? Mercedes? Siemens? Lemme think… Sony is from Asia, right? And Nokia?
C’mon, seriously, Johnson….
As for the post, great fun :D
Maybe President Obama should appoint Steve Jobs as Commerce Secretary…
Cool.
